Blog of Evan Bogunia- musician, producer, programmer

Over the past semester, I have had the pleasure of seeing how flexible Live was in an academic environment. When we first started sharing ideas and projects a lot of the other students were just using max/msp to carry out their pieces. Now this is all and good, and applaud them for taking the times to build simple delay modules, and looping cappabilities, but I thought I With the addition of Max into the workflow Live is an absolute beast on the dancefloor and in the classroom. I am currently in the midst of developing a slew of small programs to enhance the functionality of Live in different ways. Using the Novation Launchpad as a blank canvas I am pursuing different ways to use an 8 x 8 button matrix for controlĀ and performance (a la the monome). I am using Live with an 8 speaker array. I am designing ways to make Live the centerpiece of interactive sound installations.

Welcome.

Welcome to Audio Alchemy, a blog for all of my experiments with audio, sound, and interactivity. I will be posting a few times of week detailing the things I am pursuing/stumbling upon, with appropriate documentation as I get the time (tutorials, demos, etc.) Let me know about anything, I’d love to start some dialog about the things that I am covering in this blog.
